Want to beat the heat – or the rain, if the forecast is to be believed? Take a trip to the north end of the Island for the annual Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light open house on Aug. 12.
The event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offers the public an opportunity to learn more about the Coast Guard and its auxiliary while also highlighting its relationship with state and local law enforcement, including the New Jersey Marine Police and the Stafford Township Police Marine Bureau.
