Donald Trump’s desire to take over Greenland is a rather personal affront to me.
You see, I am of Danish heritage.
My paternal grandfather had immigrated to the U.S. from Denmark early in the 20th century. I never met him because he had deserted my grandmother long ago and he distanced himself from my family. I never had the opportunity to talk to him about his home country.
