Ocean County’s animal facilities are celebrating National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on Sunday, April 30 with a special adoption event.
Actually they are celebrating the day over the course of two days, with Saturday, April 29 being added to the mix. Anyone adopting a cat or dog on either of those dates will pay half of the regular adoption fee. That’s a savings considering the normal fee is $60 for a dog or puppy and $55 for a cat or kitten.
