Strike up for a great cause – join the Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter for the nonprofit’s Bowling “Fun”d-Raiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1 at Thunderbird Lanes in Manahawkin.
“Whether you’re ready to bowl or prefer to cheer everyone on, come out for a fun afternoon supporting the animals who need us most,” encourages the group, which is dedicated to the care of homeless cats and dogs in our area.
Cost to bowl is $30 and includes two games, pizza and beverages. Bowlers can also ask friends and family to pledge donations. “Cheerleaders” pay just $15, and get pizza and beverages as well.
As the nonprofit explained, “One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit FOSOCAS and help us continue supporting the animals at Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter.”
To take part, RSVP by Wednesday, Oct. 28 by calling Connie at 609-618-0870 to provide the number of people in your group, and their names, to ensure an easy check-in the day of the event.
“Come have some fun, bring your friends and help us make a difference for homeless animals,” organizers said. “Every strike helps the animals!”
