To the Editor:

Let’s be very clear, even 1,000 wind turbines off the coast will have no measurable effect on global warming.

According to the UN climate panel model, if the entire U.S. were to disappear tomorrow, by the end of the century the global temperature would be lower by 0.3 degrees. This is because most of the carbon emissions occur in China, India, Africa and South America where in many places people are burning coal, wood or dung.
