In the years since the state Department of Environmental Protection established the New Jersey Clean Marina Program in 2005, a number of facilities on Long Beach Island and the nearby mainland have taken part in this initiative to help preserve our vital coastal waterways. As the DEP explains, “The program offers marinas free assistance and guidance to reduce and eliminate pollution resulting from everyday operations and human practices.”
