To the Editor:
It is the obligation of a municipality to provide fire protection services to residents and taxpayers of the municipality. Ship Bottom is extremely fortunate that the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Co. has for over 100 years provided the necessary fire protection to taxpayers and residents.
The fire company consists of volunteers who expend a significant amount of time and energy in providing this service for the benefit of the public.
