To the Editor:
Compassion. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines it as “Sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it.” Sounds overwhelming, doesn’t it?
It’s not for the staff (and volunteers) who keep the Compassion Cafe, a 503(b) nonprofit, a shining example of helping special needs individuals and their families during the summer.
