The Beach Haven Marlin and Tuna Club has added new features to its 52nd White Marlin Invitational Tournament in an attempt to revive what was once a very popular event. This year the tournament runs from Aug. 11 to 14.
The changes, which received the endorsement of the borough council earlier this year, include a street fair element known as “Marlinfest.”
“The club felt there was a need for change in order for our tournament to stay relevant,” said David Wittenborn, tournament chairman.
