Manahawkin resident Ryan Fredrickson stepped out with this SandPaper reporter, carrying a backpack full of discs, and walked toward something he and some close buddies had created: a disc golf course. Honestly, the entrance could easily be mistaken for a hiking trail. But the far more intriguing sport ofdisc golf occupies the area, within the DocCramer Sports Complex in Manahawkin.
Fredrickson picked up the sport in his college days at Springfield College in Massachusetts. That was in 2006.
