To the Editor:

I am wholeheartedly in agreement with Ed Harkey’s letter titled “Dying Lagoons” (6/9).” I am also a resident of Tuckerton Beach, now going on 17 years. During those years I have also seen Kingfisher lagoon die a slow death due to low water, especially the areas adjacent to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife refuge.

It has now become a dangerous waterway to navigate to the bay. Captains are now forced to navigate much closer to moored vessels for fear of running aground.
