When Mark Edwards spent his first summer in Barnegat Light 12 years ago, he didn’t know too many people. Of course, that had changed over the years. However, a few years ago, he wanted to meet some new people while enjoying some recreation time.
“A friend of mine, Bucky Hayes, introduced me to the club,” said Edwards, referring to Loveladies Tennis Club, at which he and new member Stan Britton competed against Joel Kaplan and Kevin Lawlor in the final of the club’s annual men’s tournament Aug.
