The Southern Regional High School boys volleyball team has been the top-ranked squad in the state all season long. That makes sense considering the Rams are the defending state champions and have made it all the way to the state title match five years in a row, winning in 2009 and 2010 as well as last year.
On May 10, however, they showed they can be beaten when coach Eric Maxwell and his charges traveled to St. Joseph of Metuchen to play in the prestigious Super Six Tournament.
