Brant Beach Yacht Club hosted the annual Optimist Regatta July 28-29, but the weather wreaked some havoc and only four races were contested.
J.J. Smith of Sarasota Youth Sailing sat atop the overall standings with five points, leading the Red fleet, while Brant Beach Yacht Club’s Collin Fredrickson was second among the Red fleet and second overall with 11 points, grabbing second a pair of times.
