In response to increased e-bike usage throughout the township, the Little Egg Harbor Police Department has launched a safety campaign aimed at educating both e-bike operators and other motorists.
Concerns have been growing statewide about the danger of e-bikes, as the number of accidents in New Jersey has increased, and some have recently been fatal. Sgt. James Fehring said Little Egg Harbor has seen an uptick in motor vehicle accidents involving e-bikes.
