Little Egg Harbor announced Friday, Sept. 5 it would be making major changes to its recycling pickup schedule. Instead of a weekly pickup, recycling throughout the township would be collected every other week, from Oct. 6 through April 2026. But the decision was quickly reversed. On Monday, Sept. 8, the township posted that the biweekly pickup schedule would be put on a “temporary hold.”

The biweekly schedule was deemed a “trial run” by Township Administrator Rodney Haines.
