To the Editor:
LBI, take notice that plans are moving forward to place wind power turbines that would be clearly visible from our beaches if permitted to be placed closer than 15 miles from our shoreline. The lease area for this project is as close as 9 miles offshore, continues outward 14 miles with the southeastern part extending out about 23 miles. Two turbines are being considered, both 10- and 12-megawatt units. Let’s put this in perspective.
