A “celebration of life” service was held the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Kirk O. Larson Sr. Memorial Park in Barnegat Light, for the late mayor of the same name.
The grass field was filled with mourners and sympathizers, including uniformed U.S. Coast Guard members and volunteer firefighters, residents of the borough, and mayors and officials from the other Island towns.
