Southern Regional all-time great basketball player Kristen Sharkey has just crossed a major milestone in her basketball life: the conclusion of her collegiate career.
Her career ended on March 19 in Morgantown, W. Va., as her University of Buffalo Bulls lost to the Mountaineers in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament. For her, it was a relatively quiet game:nine points andfive rebounds.
“It was a really special place for our program to be, in the NIT for the first time,” Sharkey said.
