Now, that was one headbanger of a be-peopled weekend on LBI. Folks came in waves to hit the beach and look toward the heavens, taking in kites of many colors, from entry-level rag-tailed models to the heavens-above class fliers. Hell, a scheduled UFO showing couldn’t have garnered as many sky-lookers as this LBI Fly kitefest, at least on the perfect-condition Saturday of the weekend-long event. Sunday’s muckiness grounded most of the scheduled kite flights.
The brilliant Saturday saw parking hitting the rafters in a good chunk of host town Ship Bottom.
