Spring is here and so are the fish. Any anglers looking for a bit of competition are encouraged to sign up now for the in-store striped bass and bluefish tournaments held by two of Long Beach Island’s tackle shops, Surf City Bait and Tackle in Surf City and Jingles Bait and Tackle in Beach Haven.
Surf City Bait and Tackle’s tournament, which began May 1, will run until June 30. Entry fee is $10 each for the striper and bluefish components of the contest.
