May 1 marked the changing of the guard for the Barnegat Police Department as Jason Carroll was sworn in as chief in a ceremony at the township recreation center. He replaces the recently retired Keith Germain.
AT THE HELM: On May 1, Mayor Joseph Marte swears in new police chief Jason Carroll while Carroll’s son Bailey holds the Bible. Also at the ceremony are his wife, Lori, and daughters Molly (blue dress) and Brienna.
Also sworn in were his successor as captain, Andrew Parsley, and new patrol officer John Dolan.
