The Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City will be temporarily closed for an additional week for carpet replacement and will now reopen on Monday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m.

Patrons can request their held items be sent to alternate locations while the branch is closed. However, they will not be moved en masse. The book drop will remain open and accessible throughout the closure for anyone who would like to return materials.

During the closure, the LBI branch’s phone lines are unavailable. Anyone in need of assistance may contact the library system’s main number at 732-349-6200, where staff will be available to assist with questions.

Digital resources such as eBooks, audiobooks, research databases and virtual programming remain available through theoceancountylibrary.org.
