For all of the history that has gone down on the Atlantic City waterfront, from the famed Boardwalk to gaming, boxing matches and Miss America pageants, last July saw a new first. Prior to last year, New Jersey’s beach patrols had never all competed in one lifeguard tournament. Hence, history was made at Red Bull Surf and Rescue, and Long Beach Island’s life saving squads were right in the mix.
