The inflatable rat set up recently in front of the Beach Haven municipal building has been taken down, at least for the time being.
Laborers International Union of North America Local 77 in Ewing Township erected the giant rodent over a disagreement with Beach Haven about the construction contract for renovations to the emergency operations center. Last fall, the borough awarded a $6.8 million contract to Imperial Construction and Electric of Springfield.
