This story is dedicated to my dear friend Koko, the best goofy-footed surfer I have ever known. A friend of mine recently suggested that I take my dog Angel and go for a walk on the beach at 14th Street in Barnegat Light. I asked why and the response was that “the walk will do your soul some good.”
I set out from my home in Ship Bottom with some sense of urgency since the ordinance restricting walking dogs on the beach kicks in as of April 15.
