To the Editor:

Thank you for welcoming me into your homes and sharing your thoughts, concerns and hopes for Ship Bottom. As I have been walking and talking throughout Ship Bottom, I have consistently heard a deep pride in our community, a commitment to preserving the character and values that make our borough special, and a desire for leadership that is present, accessible and dedicated to Ship Bottom’s future.

Regardless of our individual viewpoints, we all share a common goal: keeping Ship Bottom a vibrant, welcoming and exceptional place to live, work and visit. I believe in order to accomplish these goals, effective leadership requires thoughtful planning, responsible growth initiatives, fiscal responsibility and a commitment to preserving the quality of life that generations of families have come to cherish. Good leadership is about bringing people together, considering different perspectives and working toward solutions that reflect the needs and values of our borough.

I have been here, working with you and for you and actively involved in Ship Bottom for over a decade. My experience is rooted here, in the community we call home. The relationships I have built, the local issues I have worked on, and the firsthand understanding I have gained from serving and engaging with Ship Bottom residents provide a perspective that cannot be learned from outside our borough.

I believe the mayor should focus on priorities that matter most to Ship Bottom residents: maintaining public safety, investing in critical infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, protecting our coastal environment and supporting local businesses, through transparent and accountable government. As your mayor, I will explore responsible shared-service opportunities with neighboring communities where appropriate, helping to reduce costs, improve efficiency and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.

I appreciate your trust, hospitality and your engagement throughout this process. The opportunity to hear directly from so many of you has been both humbling and enlightening. Together, we can build a future that honors our past while embracing the opportunities ahead and that is why I am seeking the position as mayor of Ship Bottom and would be honored to have your vote.
