Plans for remodeling a building at a remediated former Texaco gas station site on Route 72 in Stafford Township will be discussed at an upcoming land use board meeting, now that the property has been purchased by Rich’s Ice Cream.
Hunter Gutwein, owner of the popular third-generation ice cream company, said the business, with stores in Toms River and Lacey Township, sought the Stafford Township property for a third site due to its “very impressive” location and demographic reach.
