Sailing’s spring season at Southern Regional High School was supposed to start Monday. Take a look at the bay. That season did not commence.
“There’s no way we’re sailing this week,” coach Steve Warren said. “The bay is frozen more solid than I’ve ever seen it.”
While Warren said the team has to deal with the conditions the weather hands out, he admitted it would be a problem because competitions begin within a few weeks. With the bay frozen, Warren is left with no choice but to cancel practices.
