Changes could be coming to the north side of the Causeway along Barnegat Bay with a proposal for longtime marina to be reborn as the Salt Shack, a waterfront destination venue with two dining areas and an open-air lounge space, while the property’s marina slips are kept intact.
Hochstrasser’s Marina was sold last month to Chris Vernon, who also owns Baldwin Residence (Hotel LBI), the boutique hotel a short distance away.
