Editor’s Note: This is the seventh in a series on vintage homes on Long Beach Island, the people who are preserving them, and the stories that make them special.

This historic Harvey Cedars cottage, known affectionately as “Lee’s Cottage,” was built in 1890 by Isaac Lee, an entrepreneur whose influence shaped early Harvey Cedars. The house has seen just four families in its 136-year history. Today, it is owned by a group of family members: the Richmonds, Tomascos and Klines.
