To the Editor:

My American heritage can be traced back to the Dutch settlement of New Amsterdam in the year 1625, currently the city of New York. It is a rich history of Dutch mariners, leaders of the New York New Jersey Sandy Hook Pilots Association and the Dutch Reformed Church, with the anchor of Rutgers University as a Dutch reformed seminary since 1766.

The church was a three-legged table supported by God, the Ten Commandments and a history of the people.
