An eight-point lead going into the second evening of competition in the Long Beach Island Championship Tournament disappeared in a hurry, and the Harvey Cedars and Surf City beach patrols were locked in an even battle with five, possibly six events to go.
Ryan Corcoran, Don Adams and Julia Gilbert came to the rescue, and within about five minutes, Cedars not only regained the lead, but pushed it back to double digits.
