With beach replenishment concluded on the south end of the Island two weeks ago, the project is now heading north.
The beach nourishment, designed to maintain the dune and berm systems and reduce the risk of storm damage to the infrastructure of our coastal communities, is a joint effort of the Army Corps Philadelphia District, the N.J. Department of Environmental Protection and the LBI municipalities.
