Two Long Beach Island squads reached the championship round of the July 19 Red Bull Surf and Rescue competition in Atlantic City, and one finished among the top five in team standings.
The Harvey Cedars 1 crew of Billy Webster, Jenna Parker, Ryan Corcoran and Randy Townsend completed the swim, paddle, row relay in fifth place with a time of 15:29.7, just 5.7 seconds behind the fourth-place team, Sea Girt.
