What is a Moke? A Moke is a low-speed vehicle that Long Beach Township has passed an ordinance against. Why? It’s street legal, battery powered and has zero carbon emissions. Assembled in the U.S., it is a quiet, state-registered and insured, safe vehicle with seatbelts, headlights, turn signals, windshield wipers, a horn and, most importantly, it’s maximum speed is 25 mph. That’s it!
