Heading into the Southern Regional Girls Wrestling Jamboree on Feb. 4, Jayla Hahn actually hadn’t wrestled much this season. Sure, she’s been wrestling since December, just like the other girls on Southern’s team. Her biggest problem, if it could be called that, was how little time she’d logged out on the mat during competition.

Simply put, she’s just too good for most of the opponents she faces on a regular basis and she scores pins with frequency. She needed a test.
