Ahoy, fellow LBIers (and all the ships at sea, as the great Walter Winchell used to say). I am guessing that most of you here on the Island, as I was, rode out the recent snowstorm and thankfully we all got through it safely and our homes and businesses were damage free.

I sat in my home watching the TV weather reporters with their usual hype and anxiety attempt to get their viewing audience to the point of being wound tighter than the nuts on a new bridge.
