To the Editor:
Last Monday, Aug. 21, one week after his 11th birthday, my son Dylan hauled in a monster crab measuring 7¼ inches (from one end of the shell to the other) in one of our traps. The crab weighed over a pound and he ate it later. His face says it all!
We’re renting in Beach Haven Gardens, at the same location where we have been renting for 29 years. We have a great relationship with the owner by now. I was Dylan’s age the first year my parents rented down here.
We crab with traps we haul back and forth each summer with our pickup.
