Jason Douma and his children did not set out to be the first to earn a 30-clam pin from the ReClam the Bay organization. He was looking for non-beach activities for his daughters during their annual vacation to LBI from their home in Norwood.
“They initially didn’t know what to think, but they heard there was a prize so that kind of got them going,” Douma said about his daughters when he talked to them about the ReClam the Bay Clam Trail Scavenger Hunt.
Douma was looking for other activities for his daughters, who are 5 and 8 years old, besides LBI’s beaches.
