Long Beach Island is a special place to Emma June Kent. She’s been vacationing with her family on the Island since birth. Hence the reason, at 17 and facing a dire road ahead as she battles cancer, she vehemently wanted to return.
“My Nana has been coming here for the past 70 years, and I love being here with all the family,” she said. “It’s a family tradition for all of us to come here for a vacation during the summer, and it’s just a great time. We don’t usually plan much.
