An ordinance introduced by the Beach Haven Borough Council Feb. 9 will result in higher fees for fire inspections involving rental and resale permits.
Borough Manager Sherry Mason said that previously, fire inspections were done in-house through the volunteer fire company. The inspection was included in the $35 administrative fee. After May 31, the fee goes up to $70.
