To the Editor:

Long Beach Island communities currently fall within the Southern Regional School District under a funding and governance structure that is fundamentally inequitable.

LBI municipalities collectively contribute approximately 80% of the district’s total funding, while our students comprise only about 20% of total enrollment. This imbalance alone raises serious concerns about fairness and proportionality.
