There’s a historical photo of four surfers standing on the beach in Ship Bottom. Behind them is the old fishing pier, which most folks don’t even know existed. The surfers are all holding ancient wooden surfboards – generally referred to as Tom Blake style, for the Californian who pioneered surf craft.
