To the Editor:
On Sunday, Sept. 19, an ALS fundraiser to benefit the Joan Dancy and PALS Foundation was held in Buck’s Backyard in Beach Haven in honor of Butch McCaffrey. It was an emotional celebration of a very special person who is facing a most difficult challenge. Because of Butch’s positive attitude and the coming together of Butch’s many music friends, it was a wonderful day. Our friends, neighbors and family will carry the special memories with us for a long time.
None of this could have happened without the community that we are so lucky to be part of.
