The road in the Eastern Regional Invitational tournament ended for the Stafford Township 9-11 all-star softball team on Aug. 4, but the memories will last a lifetime.
“While we were shut out during the game, we never stopped competing,” said head coach Will Ballinger, whose squad lost a 5-0 decision to Pennsylvania in the tourney semifinals. “We made every effort to get on the scoreboard by being aggressive on the base paths, but, unfortunately, it just didn’t go our way.
