Former Eagleswood Township Mayor and longtime Committeeman Jim Pine gave retiring Mayor Debra Rivas a fond farewell at the governing body’s meeting Monday night. Rivas will leave office at the end of December after 20 years of public service with rotations in and out of the mayor’s chair.

An engraved gift holds special meaning.
Pine thanked Rivas for her service to the town with a custom-made keepsake gift, reminiscing about their accomplishments during their time in office together. He said it was an honor to serve with her and wished the committee luck in moving forward.
“We always say it’s Small Town, USA,” Pine said. “I know the difficulties you face; I understand.”
