To the Editor:
In response to John Tesoro’s letter last week (“Needed: More Guards”) and the drowning in Beach Haven, let me say we face this situation every summer from the middle of August on.
At the beginning of this summer I had a letter in The SandPaper suggesting LBI investigate the use of drones to support our lifeguards. There are several countries that have employed drones for over five years (Australia, France and Spain, to name a few).
