The first of two phases of extensive improvements and renovations to the historic Cox House in Barnegat Township is making progress with hopes to have it done by summer.
Last year, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners awarded a contract to Wu and Associates, a Mount Laurel construction company specializing in historic preservation. The initial cost of $3.4 million was reduced due to a state historic preservation grant of $750,000.
