Within the next two weeks, the Ocean County Parks Department looks to go out to bid for the second of two phases in restoring the historic Cox House in Barnegat Township. Located at the intersection of West Bay Avenue and Route 9, the landmark has been owned by the county since 2019, when it was acquired from the township.
Joseph Pizorek, county parks director of land acquisition and design, said the first phase involved renovating the exterior, as well as walkways and gardens.
